Lessons are available 7 days a week provided weather permits. Your safety is our number one concern, so we will only run lessons if conditions are suitable. No lesson, no charge.
To make booking, simply make purchase and contact us by email or by phone (info@surfconnect.com / 07-3137 0500) to reserve a date that suits you. If the wind is not suitable on your chosen date, we will contact you at least 1.5 hours before lesson start time, so you can choose another date to try again.
Payment for lessons is fully refundable (less 2% Shopify's handling fee), if session cannot be run at your booked in date due to weather.

Additional participants/Group Lessons*: Note we do not pair people who doesn't know each other for lessons, except for the ‘1 hour Intro Group Kitesurf Experiences’. But if you have your own group and wishes to do a group lesson, simply purchase vouchers like above, call or email us to make booking. Note group lessons though cheaper, share one instructor and one set of equipment. We do not recommend you have more than 3 in a group lesson for such reason.
1 hour Intro Group Kitesurf Experiences*: A minimum of 3 person required for group experiences.
Weather conditions: If on the day of your lesson the weather is not suitable, we will contact you at least 2 hours before your booked in time. You then have the choice of postponing your lesson to another date that suits, or opt for a refund (less 2% refund handling fee). As our activities are fully weather dependent, please be prepared for lesson to be postponed and not be disappointed.

Equipment: Equipment is included in the price of the lesson, except for optional items like wetsuits if required. If you have your own equipment and it is suitable to use in your lesson, you will receive 10% extra time.
What to wear? Wear clothes you can get in the water with, such as long sleeve shirt like a rashie, also bring a cap, sunnies and sun cream.
Where to meet? Meet at our van or our beach setup at Sandgate. Our van is normally parked over the road at 162 Flinders Parade, Sandgate, or our beach gazebo setup on the beach behind where we park our van.
Changing date/time of booking: You are welcome to amend your booking provided 24 hours notice is given (48 hours if booking is made via a third party booking agent).
Fitness, Health and ability to swim: All participants must be over the age of 9, able to swim competently unaided, of good reasonable health with no injuries (past or present) that may affect the safety in the participation of the activity. For paddleboarding, windsurfing and wingfoiling, the max weight our equipment can handle is 90kgs. For wing experiences, the maximum weight our 'Experience' boards can handle is 110kg. For kitesurfing, there is no weight limit as long as participant can fit into our safety equipment (helmet, vest and harness). Any participants under the influence of alcohol and drugs will be asked to leave immediately. Children under the age of 18 must have parent present at activity.
Indemnity, Refund/Cancellation and Insurance Policies: Please read the indemnity declaration (imprinted on our website), and that by making booking, you (and any other person you are making booking on behalf of), agree and accept such conditions.
Location: Sandgate Beach is located on the northside of Brisbane, about 15 minutes drive from Brisbane Airport. It is only a short walk from Sandgate train station direct from Brisbane City Central Station (30 minutes ride). It is all free parking at the beach front here. Our school/shop is located right on the beach, with toilets and showers at the beach. There are also a number of cafes along the beachfront here, and Sandgate has all major shops, supermarkets, chemists, cafes, restaurants and banks all within a few minutes walk.
Airport and hotel pick up service is also available. Accommodation can also be arranged. Make it a holiday to Brisbane, fly to us and have the lessons, buy the gear and take home. It will still be a lot cheaper than many shops!

If an item is out of stock, it will be placed on back order automatically and dispatched to you as soon as it becomes available again. If an item is no longer available, our customer service team will contact you. If the actual shipping cost differs from the amount charged, an automatic credit or invoice will be issued.
